It’s that time again — time to go through your house and garage to collect those old TVs, computers, DVD players, stereos, or whatever other old electronic equipment is gathering dust in your home. Due to the success and great turnout of our last event, our Los Altos Intero office is holding another FREE e-Waste Recycling Day to benefit our charitable organization, the Intero Foundation.

Did you know that 2.5 million tons of e-waste is created each year. 82% of it ends up in landfills unrecycled. You can help us change this by bringing your e-waste to Intero on Saturday, September 18, 2010 between 9am and 3pm at 496 First Street in Downtown Los Altos.

We take all computer and electronic equipment including:

  • desktops, laptops, and PDAs
  • monitors and televisions
  • printers, copy machines, and fax machines
  • computer systems (we erase HDs)
  • mice and keyboards
  • stereos, radios, and other sound equipment
  • VCRs, DVD players, etc.
  • telephones and cell phones

However, we do not accept freezers, AC units, batteries, or anything with motor oil. Visit EarthCareRecycling.com for a complete list of acceptable items.

Any proceeds from the event will benefit the Intero Foundation which funds grants to a variety of children’s charities in our local communities. To find out more about what the Intero Foundation is doing, visit InteroFoundation.org.
