In the table below, I’ve compiled the number of closed sales, average days on market (DOM), and average sales price for single family homes in the communities of Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, Saratoga, and Sunnyvale for May 2011. Additionally, I have thrown in the data from one year ago–May 2010–to provide a comparison.

In Cupertino, Los Altos, Mountain View, and Palo Alto, we saw an increase in the average sales price of single family homes sold in May versus last year. As I mentioned the other day when I shared the Bloomberg article with you all in a blog post, these markets are very hot right now–partly due to the strength of the technology sector.
